The Goal AcHIEVEMENT Program (GAP)
Bridging the GAP in your success: The Goal Achievement Program is a collaboration with The Greenhouse and Pinellas County SCORE. GAP brings together a select group of business owners for an 8-week series returning Summer, 2022.
Accelerate – Fail Fast – Innovate – Succeed Faster!
Remember the energy and focus (and adrenaline) you have when working your last day before vacation? (Good) The packing to make the plane?? (Great!) . . . Having unexpected company (in-laws!!) at your house (maybe good, but a little anxiety) . . . Or even filing your taxes? (Not-so-good)
What if you applied that same energy to achieving your goals? What if you compressed your time horizon to create an ambitious goal, fully dive into achieving it, hit a wall or even a few stumbling stones, adapt the goal and then harness all that energy and motivation to catapult your business onto a whole new level of productivity and productivity!
That’s the thinking behind Brian Moran and Michael Lennington’s book (and – literally and figuratively – movement) – the “12 Week Year.” Most companies close 40% of their sales in the 4th quarter – meaning what’s left is 3 quarters of 20% growth – all with the same products, the same talent and probably, the same prospects. What if you compressed your year into 12 weeks (vs. dealing with 40 ‘weaks’ of low mojo)?
This perspective – along with a heavy dose of peer accountability – is the ‘secret sauce’ to the Goal Achievement Program. Learn the best “goal hacks” in this energetic and highly participative co-hort.
The Summer Session will be facilitated by Sheila Neisler, owner of Catalyst Tampa Bay and SCORE Presenter. Sheila developed this program 7 years ago, working in concert with a local bank and the University of North Carolina – Asheville. The 2022 cohort will be the 4th year that the Greenhouse has hosted this series.
The Goal Achievement Program is a 60-minute weekly meeting which takes place over 8 weeks. It is specifically designed to help create and nurture an individual’s and small group’s discipline that delivers results. Data has shown that past cohorts had 68% more focused on achieving their personally set goals and feel 90% more confident in their ability to achieve them.
“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do!” Johann Wolfgange von Goethe
Who is it for?
There is no cost for participation in the Goal Achievement Program and the program is open to graduates of the Entrepreneurial Academy, Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), Greenhouse clients with existing businesses and St. Petersburg’s second stage business owners. The class will be limited to 20 individuals and participants must complete an application to be selected.
