THE GREENHOUSE-ECKERD COLLEGE EXPERIENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP

The Greenhouse-Eckerd Experience in Entrepreneurship is a collaboration of The Greenhouse and Eckerd College to support and sustain small businesses while also providing students with real-world small business experience.

What is the Experience?

For more than fifteen years, The Greenhouse has partnered with Eckerd College to support a uniquely modelled student volunteer program. The Greenhouse-Eckerd Experience in Entrepreneurship serves as a valuable “add on” feature to further extend the robust level of business assistance services accessible to St. Petersburg entrepreneurs. The project volunteer program offers students “real world” business experience, while supporting entrepreneurs with project assistants. An added feature of the program, includes the guidance and support of business mentors who work in collaboration with Greenhouse and Eckerd staff to navigate the success of the apprenticeship between the project volunteer and the business owner.

Past projects have included the development of marketing campaigns, social media marketing, website development, environmental initiatives, business outreach, surveys, creative work, grant writing assistance, grand openings, product launches, organizational and gallery assistance, to name a few.

BUSINESS ELIGIBILITY:

If your business has participated in Greenhouse programming such as business workshops, counseling, or other training programs, you may qualify to participate in The Greenhouse-Eckerd Experience in Entrepreneurship to receive the project assistance (approximately 20 hours) of an Eckerd College student.
*Please note that at times of high demand, your request may be added to a wait list.

Are you looking for practical experience in the business world?
