Part 1
Part 1 covers platforms that are important to most companies’ marketing plans, no matter what industry they are in or who their target customers are. Owned Media Owned media platforms give you full control of your content, and the platform does not limit access to your content. You must build your own audience, and only audience members decide whether they will receive your messages. – Web site/ blogging – Email marketing – Networking Plus: – Google My Business – YouTube video content Earned Media Earned media platforms provide content that you do not control or pay for. You earned the exposure through good performance and/or newsworthy actions. Because you do not control or pay for the content, these media have higher credibility with your target audience. – Reviews/ Public Relations/Public speakingPart 2 –
Every business has many choices of platforms they can use to promote their business and build relationships with their prospects and customers. Part Two covers platforms that will benefit different businesses depending on their industry and their target market. Paid/Shared Media Paid/shared media platforms give your business access to their audience, and they apply algorithms to limit which businesses can be viewed by their audience. Paid platforms offer advertising options that businesses can use to boost their exposure. – Google/YouTube advertising – Facebook – Instagram – Pinterest – Twitter – TikTok Speaker: Bob Gaynor, SCORE WATCH WEBINARS NOTE: Sign-in or create Greenhouse client profile to accessTopic: Nonprofit Startup Provider: The Greenhouse & Bay Area Legal Services

Many businesses set their selling prices by simply copying what their competitors charge. While this might work, this will often lead to losses and not profits for any individual company. In order to Price for Profit, a company needs to know their costs – both variable and fixed. A company also needs to know what the market will pay for a given product and what their competitors are charging. After all of these factors have been reviewed, a reasonable price structure can be established. In this workshop, clients will learn the basics of understanding your costs of doing business and relate these costs to an understanding of Gross Profit, Margin and Markup. With this information, you should be in a much better position to put the RIGHT PRICE on your product or service.

*What’s a Good Idea? *for a Business
What you should consider when thinking about starting your startup. There are good ideas, and there’s good businesses; how can you determine if you have both and what to do to validate your idea has legs.
The idea of starting and operating your own business can be very appealing. Many have thought about being their own boss for quite some time, but getting your startup started is often what prevents the dream from becoming reality.
Unlike most regular jobs, starting your startup requires validation, planning, financial decisions, legal and tax consideration, market research, and more in areas you may never have thought you would know.
In this webinar, we’ll engage participants in discussion around the IDEATION phase of business startup – – the stage where the entrepreneur is developing and testing the business idea. To best prepare for this webinar, please consider your buyer persona – – Start by asking… Who are they? What do they like? Where do they buy/shop/order, etc.
