The final phases are underway for a disparity study by the city of St. Petersburg, designed to ensure local businesses owned by people of color and women are encouraged to seek out and are awarded city contracts.
A Disparity Study determines whether a government entity, either in the past or currently, engages in exclusionary practices in the solicitation and award of contracts to minority-, and women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises (MWDBEs).The disparity study will identify challenges for minority- and women-owned businesses in doing business with the City of St. Petersburg
Businesses who offer goods or services and have participated in the City’s procurement process are encouraged to complete the Disparity Study’s Anecdotal Survey. This survey is designed to gather in-depth information from local businesses about their experiences making bids and proposals to, and working on projects for the City of St. Petersburg.
