From Markets to Main streets: I Am So Not Cool
The shop itself is a vibrant reflection of Cheryl’s personality. Each piece is carefully curated to create a fun and welcoming shopping experience. Clothes are organized by patterns, styles, and even “vibes,” making it easy and exciting to find something that feels authentic. Beyond clothing, you’ll find an incredible selection of handmade treasures. Blending artistry and intention, Cheryl creates her own earnings and tarot cards while collaborating with local makers to feature an array of natural, handcrafted trinkets. Each item tells a story, making every visit feel like stepping into a world of artistic wonder.
A few things make I Am So Not Cool truly stand out, and one of them is the affordable pricing. Vintage finds nowadays can be overpriced, as many places capitalize on the fact that these clothes are unique and high quality. Cheryl emphasizes sustainable shopping and believes her pieces should find a home, so keeping prices affordable is essential. Her commitment to fair pricing and sustainability carries charm in each piece.
Additionally, Cheryl loves shopping for you. That’s right! Cheryl explains that she enjoys hearing what people are looking for and will even search for it herself. She hunts for clothes locally, travels to surrounding Florida cities, and to Northern California, where she rents her own rack. So, if you have a dream shirt or skirt in mind, let her know.
The Greenhouse community has loved watching Cheryl’s business bloom through her dedication and vision. Since opening at 689 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg in February 2025, I Am So Not Cool has quickly become a local favorite.

Talking Business with the Greenhouse
GH: What's the best part of being a woman small business owner?
CH: I enjoy getting to know people and hearing what they are looking for. Whether that is a certain type of clothing, art, or jewelry. I love to go out of my way and find those things for them or make them. It brings me so much joy to make some artistic expression dreams come true.
GH: Whats the biggest challenge you've overcome as a women small business owner?
CH: The biggest challenge has been getting the word out about my store. I just opened up in February, and I have tried my best with social media and ads, but I hope to reach out to more people.
GH: What have you learned about yourself in the process of starting a business?
CH: I have pretty much always known I am outgoing, but I didn’t realize how much that quality has helped me connect with people and bring joy to them through my fashion finds and handmade art.
GH: If you could have a business lunch with anyone, who would it be and why?
CH: Mynard James Keenan because he does so much all at once. He has a vineyard, he’s a lead singer, a businessman man I would love to know how he tackles it all so effortlessly. I love the bands TOOL and Puscifer. I actually sell my jewelry in his store!
GH: When you dream about your business, what do you see?
CH: I would love to have multiple locations. I have a rack at Buck Lucky in Northern California that I rent out, so having my own vintage shop there is a dream.
