Small Business Enterprise Projects

This page provides a listing of Small Business Enterprise (SBE) construction projects for the City of St. Petersburg.  Check back periodically for project updates on materials and pre-bid (project informational session) dates.

Sheltered Projects
Only businesses certified as City of St. Petersburg Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) may submit bids.  Visit our Small Business Enterprise Program page to learn about eligibility, program requirements and how to get certified.

Projects with SBE Goals
SBE goals for these projects set aside a percentage of the project work for SBEs.  Prime contractors must solicit and utilize City of St. Petersburg certified SBEs as subcontractors to meet these goals.  Get certified to be listed on our City of St. Petersburg SBE Directory.  This is the main search tool that prime contractors use to find SBEs.

Open Projects
Construction projects in which participation is open to SBEs and non-SBEs who are registered as a city vendor with the Procurement & Supply Management Department.

Job Order Contract (JOC)
Minor construction, repair, rehabilitation or alteration projects performed by a rotating pool of Job Order Contractors, who are pre-selected based through a competitive process.  These projects can offer subcontractor opportunities for SBEs as SBE usage goals are negotiated by the JOC contractor and City project managers.  Certified firms will be listed on the SBE directory used by prime contractors solicit SBE participation.
